June 23, 2012It appears we have very different views on the new album.. After excellent Mechanize I was waiting for something special. Being a long time fan from the beginning of good old 90´s it is always nostalgic moment to hear new music from FF. Unfortunately for me the Industrialist is by far the worst FF album ever. In all aspects it is just weak, uninspirational and boring. I would recommend to skip the whole record completely but as I am reading the reviews it leaves me completely amazed – are we listening to the same album? After giving it the 5th chance my verdict is that the album is utter shit – nothing else. Hopefully FF will somehow find the drive for create original music / albums once again.. Though after this embarrassment I doubt it. Sayonara, it was good.

June 25, 2012@mazz – To say their album “is just weak, uninspirational and boring” yet a majority of reviews state it is a return to form, me included is laughable. Granted, its not Demanufacture standard, but its still up there amongst their best. Just check it does say Fear Factory on the disc and not Justin Bieber? Assuming you didn’t illegally download it.

June 28, 2012Whilst I’ve never commented on something like this – there is some good stuff in the album. But I have to admit I too was waiting for somethinig amazing – Mechanize was mind blowing for me. This latest offering was certainly not – I thought it sounded kinda stale – only to look in the back, and it appears that the drums for the album have been programmed.. hence the lack of groove…
I love this band and have been with them for a while, but I agree – it was just plain boring -aside from a few gems in the album. Now, I can appreciate that not all albums can be hits from start to finish.. but they seem to have good albums and then not so good ones…
If we look at demanufacture onwards…. Demanufacture – life changing. Obsolete absolutley amazing… Digimortal – not so great. Archetype – fantastic – Transgression – shit – Mechanize – amazing – Industrialist – well not too impressed so far…
And what I’ve seen on youtube on their latest live performances- I really don’t like the new drummer.. now I know youtube and handycam are shit, but there’s still no groove and it’s actually very sloppy – missing accents, kick patterns, etc… And no – I can’t do it on the drums either…
All of this is just an opinion from a very dedicated FF fan who’s a little dissapointed at this stage…

July 9, 2012I love The Industrialist. It’s honestly my favorite. I’d love to see any of you crank out anything even close to this magnitude. If you can’t do it yourselves, then shut up. Keep going FF, you still got it!
