Due to reasons beyond the band’s control, FEAR FACTORY will not be taking part in this Summer’s Shockwave Tour, slated to commence July 6 in Seattle.

Commented the band in a collective statement: “We are truly disappointed not to be part of the Shockwave tour. We send our sincerest apologies to all our North American fans planning to come out this Summer, but we will be back. Please look for FEAR FACTORY headline dates in August.”

FEAR FACTORY recently unleashed their latest full-length, The Industrialist, Stateside on June 5 via Candlelight Records.  Commended by Revolver in a 4/5 review for offering up “the same pulsating, angry urgency of old…nicely counterbalanced by some incredibly deft melodies,” called “…a well-orchestrated montage of universal agitation and despair,” by Alarm, and crowned “…their most aggressive offering to date,” by Exclaim, The Industrialist is the second album written by vocalist Burton C. Bell and guitarist Dino Cazares since reuniting in 2009 after a seven-year split.

that’s pretty fucking lame for them to cancel two days before the
show. typical. I bet they only sold 10 tickets.

What are they thinking being on a tour with 10 other bands? Come up
here with ONE other band and play a proper venue not a dirt bar on a
    gravel/pit with 10 other groups.

Seriously, Studio Seven? That is where the Junior High school bands PAY to play and beg for their best friends to show up.

Went to check your tour dates and saw you’re playing at the Gathering of Juggalos. Wow, I think this might be a new low for Fear Factory. Just what I want to do, go see Fear Factory with a bunch of face-painted Silly Billys.

RE: Fear Factory playing @ smaller venues-….. Who’s complaining?!
I believe it makes it a more personal show, & it says a lot about the band
Too. If they love what they do, & appreciate their fans, then it’s alright to
Play small venues once in a while. So enjoy while u have a chance!

well I was sad to see that ff was playing on my birthday and I didn’t even know about it..so I guess I’m happy, from a purely selfish place, that the show didn’t happen….but that does suck quite a bit….at least I should be able to see them when they come back around though :D

Ticket Master should have sent you an email and phoned you indicating the show was cancelled. If you bought it from the TM website that is.

I don’t see any mention of ANY Canadian shows, however.

You got that right. NO RESCHEDULED TORONTO SHOW!!!! This has made me think twice about remaining a loyal fan after 20 years. I have been at every show since demanufacture with Ozzy at the Kool Haus. Burton and Dino this is no way to treat long time fans that want to attend another brutal show.
